Jen is a Tunxis dental hygiene graduate, and has been working in private practice for the last 11 years. Jen developed her love for helping others, beginning with a service learning project in Utah, with the Navajo Nation, while at Tunxis. Now, actively volunteering for CT MOM since 2009.

Jen has been an active member of ADHA-CT and always valued being a part of her professional organization, she began as a student member and attended component meetings with her mentor Beverly Butterfield. She has also enjoyed mentoring dental hygiene students in her office as well as attending and mentoring colleagues during the ADHA-CT state and local component meetings.

Jen began her role as a component officer, as Treasurer for the Northwestern component. Which grew her passion to be active on the state level and she served two terms from 2016-2020 as the ADHA-CT Treasurer. She has been active with ADHA-CT on the Scholarship Committee, the Annual Session Committee, the HyLight Chair and currently serves on the P & P Committee.

Most recently, Jen served as race director for the Dental Dash 5k run/walk from 2017 to 2020, and was honored to represent Connecticut as an ADHA-CT Delegate for last year’s virtual annual session.

Jen is a member of the Governor’s Re-open CT Dental Sub-group and the ADHA-CT COVID Taskforce. The COVID-19 pandemic, has brought new challenges to Connecticut, and Jen has been on the forefront to keep hygienists safe and aware of change. To continue to help others, Jen became trained and certified to administer the COVID Vaccination.
